New policy on Vietnam visa - Evisa validity is up to 90 days

On August 14, 2023, the Government of Vietnam issued Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP, paving the way for the issuance of electronic visas (E-Visa) to citizens of all countries around the world, including 257 countries and territories. The Resolution is a breakthrough in promoting international relations, opening the door for cooperation and exchange between countries.

Therefore, from August 15, 2023, foreigners regardless of nationality or country can apply for a Vietnam e-visa online. This means anyone from anywhere around the world can easily set foot in Vietnam for tourism, visiting relatives, business or commercial activities.

The important change in this policy is the validity period of electronic visas. According to the Resolution, electronic visas are valid from 1 month to a maximum of 3 months. This creates flexible conditions for foreigners to experience and explore Vietnam. Furthermore, foreigners can enter through all Vietnamese border gates, creating favorable conditions for travel and exchange. 

The Vietnamese government hopes that expanding electronic visas will improve international relations as well as create an environment of cooperation and decentralization between countries. This event continues to unite countries, bringing benefits to both sides and marking an important step forward in Vietnam's development and international cooperation. Vietnam issues electronic visas to foreigners valid for 90 days (3-month electronic visa), single or multiple entries.

From August 15, 2023, Vietnam officially expands the time for issuing electronic visas (E-Visa) to a maximum of 3 months (90 days) for foreigners. This change marks a significant step forward in attracting tourism and investment to the country, while creating more favorable conditions for foreigners who want to come to Vietnam for many different purposes.

Previously, electronic visas (E-visas) in Vietnam were only issued for a maximum period of 1 month (30 days). However, with new policy changes, foreigners can safely plan longer travel and business trips in Vietnam without worrying about visa extension in the short term. .
